The heart of my campaign lies in addressing the issues that matter most to the people of Meridian. As Mayor, I will focus on:
Combating Crime and Reducing Gun Violence:
- Partnering with local, state, and federal agencies to implement programs that address the root causes of crime.
- Expanding youth initiatives and hosting gun safety training programs to foster a culture of safety and prevention.
Strengthening Infrastructure:
Prioritizing the safety and maintenance of our roads and bridges to ensure efficient transportation and connectivity.
Collaborating with experts to revamp and improve grant-funded programs to meet the city’s infrastructure needs.
3. Fostering Economic Growth:
- Attracting new businesses and creating jobs to boost Meridian’s economy.
- Supporting small businesses and local entrepreneurs to build a thriving business community.
Encouraging Community Engagement:
- Educating residents on how to contribute to their neighborhoods and communities through schools, churches, and local initiatives.
- Promoting mentorship opportunities where our senior citizens share their wisdom with the next generation, creating a cycle of learning and giving.
Ensuring Fiduciary Responsibility:
- Holding our government accountable for transparent and responsible spending.
- Optimizing city budgets to ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively and efficiently.
